What are the features of giant cell tumours of bone?
Pain and limited movement of joints. Swelling or pathological fractures.
Dx: biopsy
X-ray see soap bubble appearance
Rx: surgery
Mets to lung
Feature of Ewing’s sarcoma?
Young people, males 10-20. Lyric lesions with a lamellated or onion like periosteal reaction on X-ray.
Poor prog if mets present - 5y survival is only 5-10%
What’s the similarities and differences between golfs elbow and cubital tunnel syndrome?
Same - ulnar nerve involment - tingling in little fingers
Difference - GE has pain localised at elbow worse on wrist flexion
CTS - worse when elbow resting on surface or flex for long time
Nerve damage at surgical neck of humerous?
Axillary
Nerve damaged in mid humerus fracture?
Radial nerve
Difference between colles and smiths?
Colles - dorsal angulation of distal fragment
Smiths - volar displacement of distal fragment
