  • periorbital swelling
    x severe orbital pain
  • fever
  • conjunctivitis and chemosis
  • loss of colour vision
  • proptosis
  • impiared ocular motility
  • RAPD

  • sudden onset unilateral swelling of conjunctiva and lids
  • pain on ocular movement
  • blurred vision
  • diplopia

A

Emergency same day referral to ophthalmologist or A+E

CT scan of orbit and sinuses
blood tests including ESR
admission to hospital
intravenous systemic antibiotics + sateroid
