Effective decontamination arrangements must be established PRIOR to committing crews UNLESS?

A
  • Urgent life saving rescues.
  • To prevent environmental damage.
  • To prevent rapid growth in detrimental effects from substances.

In these cases every effort must be made to establish Immeadiate and full decontamination. ASAP

If none of the above apply adopt a defensive approach until DEPU is in attendance and full Decon established.
