Q

what are the characteristics of high qualitity syst. review?

A
  • clearly stated set of objectives with pre-defined eligibility criteria for included studies
    • clearly defined methods that provide transparency and allow replication by others
    • involves a systematic search to identify all studies that would meet the eligibility criteria
    • included studies are screened for quality (i.e. evaluated using PEDro scale, Cochrane Risk of Bias assessment, qualitative study analysis)
    • meta-analysis (where possible) can synthesis outcomes across studies
