A

O: Occipital bone, Ligamentum Nuchae, Spine of C7 and spines of all thoracic vertebrae

I: Upper fibers into lateral third of clavicle; middle and lower fibers into acromion and spine of scapula

N: Spinal Accessory nerve (motor), C3,C4 (sensory) XI Cranial nerve

A: Upper fibers - Elevates scapula
Middle fibers - Retract scapula
Lower fibers - depress scapula

A

O: Iliac crest, lumbar fascia, spines of lower six thoracic vertebrae, lower 3 or 4 ribs, and inferior angle of scapula

I: Floor of bicipital groove of humerus

A: Extension, adduction, and Internal rotation
