Active Duty Collegiates

A

Active duty collegiates are subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice and are assigned to the NAVCRUITDIST responsible for the geographic area in which they attend college.

Active duty collegiates are required to participate in command urinalysis. If collegiate cannot make urinalysis date due to test or something important, re-scheduling can be arranged.

Also, they are required to take classes in the summer; situations where classes are not available will be dealt on a case-by-case basis and they might be tasked to work for the NRD.

Chaplain Candidate Program Officer (CCPO)

A

Chaplain students are commissioned in the IRR and do not receive financial assistance. They are managed by the Chaplain Candidate Program Officer (CCPO), Chief of Chaplains Office.

Chaplain students must be contacted quarterly by the Region Chaplain. Any changes in status must be reported to the Director of Chaplain Accessions at Navy Recruiting Command.

It is just a guaranteed job after graduation, and there is no commitment while in the CCPO program, they can quit whenever they want until they supersede.

In order to supersede to active duty or reserves, they need to have at a minimum of 2 years of full time employment in their denomination. They can be in the CCPO program up to 7 years.

They must do the 72 HR Indoc NLT 5 days from swearing in.
