ERRONEOUS VERTICAL PROFILE DURING RNAV, LOC AND LOC B/C APPROACHES

A

Check position of the MAPT on the MCDU• RNAV approach (labelled RNV on MCDU):- MAPT at rwy threshold, FINAL APP can be used- MAPT not located at Runway threshold: . Fly Selected vertical profile (FPA) . Disregard VDEV symbol . Crosscheck descent path using altitude/distance Approach labelled “GPS” on MCDU can be flown in FINAL APP mode regardless of MAPT position• LOC approach:- MAPT at rwy threshold, VDEV symbol can be used to fly the vertical flight path in selected mode- MAPT not located at Runway threshold: . Fly Selected vertical profile (FPA) . Disregard VDEV symbol . Crosscheck descent path using altitude/distance

NO SRS ENGAGEMENT DURING GO AROUND BELOW MDA

A

• FINAL APP mode with FMGC1 master (AP1 or FD1):- AP1 is automatically commanded OFF at MDA-50ft- FD1&2 switch to HDG/VS or TRK/FPA- TOGA set, SRS doesn’t engage and HDG/VS, TRK/FPA remain active• Procedure, when visual, passing MDA/DA at the latest:- Press APPR PB to disengage FINAL APP mode, or- AP&FD OFF

NO SRS ENGAGEMENT DURING GO AROUND IN CASE OF EPR MODE FAULT

A

• Go around with Engines on N1 mode (EPR inoperative)• Procedure, perform a manual Go Around with no FD:- Ready for Go Around- AP OFF- FD OFF- TOGA 15°- GO AROUND FLAPS, follow normal procedure

• After selecting a departure or arrival in the ALTN FPL, fuel prediction for alternate is erroneously set to 0• Procedure:- Insert a waypoint in the Alternate FPL, neither in departure nor in arrival to force a new computation- Delete the waypoint and check ALTN fuel prediction

• F/CTL SPOILER FAULT ECAM• Procedure:- SD page shows 1 or more amber spoiler deflected: . AP OFF . SPEED GDOT +10 . CRUISE ALTITUDE AS REQUIRED with increased drag . INCREASED FUEL CONSUMPTION . CONF 3 for landing . LDG DIST PROC Apply- SD page shows all amber spoilers retracted: . If spoilers 3+4 affected, SPD BRK do not use . LDG DIST PROC Apply . If heavy vibrations, use CONF3 for landing
