Allomorph
{allo} = other, different; {morph} = shape, form: any of the variant forms of a morpheme, so the same meaning but a different form
Content words
Are easily understood without context, such as dog. Nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and verbs.
Function words
Are more like prepositions, pronouns, conjunctions, and interjections.
