The difficulty in discarding useless objects, resulting in the accumulation of possessions that clutter active living areas.
What is Excessive Acquisition? (%)
When people with Hoarding Disorder purposefully buy/collect more things. 80-90% have it.
What is the point prevalence of Hoarding Disorder?
2-6%.
How do you treat Hoarding Disorder?

What is Body Dysmorphic Disorder?
A preoccupation with perceived flaws in physical appearance that are not observable (or seem slight) to others.
In Body Dysmorphic Disorder, what does the preoccupation with perceived flaws cause a person to do?
Perform repetitive behaviours or mental acts.
What other mental disorders can explain the preoccupation with body fat/weight?
An eating disorder.
What do women with Body Dysmorphia typically focus on?
Skin, hips, legs and breasts.
What do men with Body Dysmorphia typically focus on?
Height, body hair, masculinity, penis size.
What other cognitive symptoms do people with Body Dysmorphia experience?
Anxiety, depression, shame and low self-esteem.
What is Muscle Dysmorphia?
It is a disorder mostly found in men, before the age of 18. They are preoccupied with the idea that their body is too small or insufficiently muscular.
What is a typical behavioural response to Muscle Dysmorphia?
Excessive exercise.
What is the point prevalence of Body Dysmorphia?
2%.
Which gender does Body Dysmorphia effect the most?
Men.
