what is LRNI? EAR? RNI? (all from like nutrition graph)
LRNI = low reference nutritional intake
EAR = estimated average requirement (1/2 need more, 1/2 need less)
RNI = reference nutritional intake(sufficient nutrition for 97.5% population)
when do babies start needing exogenous iron?
after 6 months (before then they have enough form storage etc)
what rough age should babies start to have solid foods?
6 months (before that only breast milk, infant formula, water)
what are some good first foods for babies?
veg, rice mixed with milk & fruit, food rich in iron (red meats, canned fish)
*no sugar or salt
how many times a day should 9-14 month child eat in a day?
3-4 times + nutritional snacks
what type of formula do babies need? (1,2,3)
babies up to 1 year = 1st stage formula then move onto cows milk
(don’t ever need stage 2 or 3) →just all about brands marketing
do you keep feeding if mastoiditis or breast abscess?
