estrogen receptor modulator
Used for patients at high risk for breast cancer to reduce their risk
Also used for patients after breast cancer surgery/chemo/radiation to prevent cancer from coming back
Tamoxifen
Signs of Breast Cancer
Palpable lumps- usually non-mobile with irregular edges Nipple discharge Skin dimpling-skin changes Pain Nipple retraction or inversion Skin redness Palpable lymph nodes-especially in supraclavicular area Breast asymmetry
not recommended during pregnancy, may cause fetal harm
Vibramycin
used to improve painful symptoms by producing high androgen/low estrogen environments
Danazol
antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of vagina, stomach, liver, skin, joints, brain and spinal cord, lungs, heart, or bloodstream
● Shouldn’t take during first trimester-can harm fetus
● Shouldn’t breastfeed 24 hours after using
Metronidazole
given for: Group B strep, gonorrhea, syphilis
