What is raloxifene?
An oral selective estrogen receptor modulator with estrogenic actions on bond and anti-estrogenic actions on the uterus and bone.
It is used for the treatment and prevention of post-menopausal osteoporosis.
It is recommended as an alternative treatment option for women in whom alendronic acid and risedronate are contraindicated.
The dose is 60mg once daily.
It should be avoided in breast cancer, and those who have risk factors for venous thromboembolism.

what is the licensed use for melatonin?
Short term insomnia relief in those 55 and over.
What is the use of melatonin in children used as?
Off labeled use of a licensed product, for treating sleep disorders in ADHD
Why can naproxen and lithium not be co-prescribed?
Naproxen interacts with the excretion of lithium leading to lithium toxicity, same for all NSAIDs.
Why should ibuprofen not be used for fever relief in chicken pox?
Increases risk of necrotising skin infections.

Can xatral XL and finasteride be used together?
Consider offering a combination of an alpha blocker and a 5‑alpha reductase inhibitor to men with bothersome moderate to severe LUTS and prostates estimated to be larger than 30 g or a PSA level greater than 1.4 ng/ml.
