countable noun that refers to the group as a unit
Collective nouns: distributive meaning
countable noun that refers to the individual members in a group
Uncountable nouns meaning
*Do not vary for number – are neither singular nor plural
* Behave as singular with respect to verbs and co-referential pronouns
* Often “mass” meaning (e.g. a substance/material) or abstract.
