Pancuronium
Non-depol NM Blocker
N(m), M(2)
Slow onset (2-4mins), Long action (2-3hrs)
Vagal blockade and tachycardia. Can block presynaptic M2 and inc NE release.
d-tubocurarine
Non-depol. NM blocker N(m) - Slow onset (4-6mins) - long action (2-3hrs) may cause histamine release
Vecuronium

- onset 2-4mins, action 20-40mins
Cistaracurium
Non-depol. NM blocker
N(m)
Onset 2-4mins, action 20-40mins
Broken down into Laudanosine, possible decrease of seizure threshold
Atracurium
Non-depol NM blocker
-Onset 2-4mins, Action 20-40mins
Broken down into Laudanosine, decreasing seizure threshold
Rocuronium

N(m)
-Rapid onset (1-2min), Duration of Action (20-35min)
Succinylcholine
DEPOLARIZING NM BLOCKER
N(m)
Onset of action and recovery both occur VERY quickly
Mecamylamine
Tertiary Ammonium Compound
Blocks Nicotinic receptors in brain
Cycloplegia, Mydriasis, vasodilation (orthostatic hypotension), tachycardia, Urinary retention, block autonomic reflexes.
Used in HTN emergencies, being tested in Tourette’s.
