- skin should be free of oils/lotions/creams SO
-Rub attachment site with alcohol and allow to air dry - inspecting and avoiding attaching electrodes to any area where skin is irritation is noted
point all tabs placed on the chest up or down

4th intercostal space, right of sternum (left facing you)
- like the heart
what is the intercostal space

4th intercostal space, left of sternum
- meaning right to you
- left on the patient, right to you

midway between V2 and V4 on the 5th rib
-on the rib—-not intercostal space
where does V4 go
5th intercostals space at midclavicular line
where does V5 go
to the right of (your right, patients left) of V4
- in intercostal space
where does V6 go
5th intercostal space at the midaxillary line
- edge of rib
where does RL go
Anywhere above the PATIENTS right ankle and below the torso
- your left
where does RA go
Anywhere between the PATIENTS right shoulder and the wrist
- your left
