Q

Newton’s First Law - Law of Inertia

A
  • A body in motion tends to stay in motion, a body at rest tends to stay at rest.
  • Also known as :Principle of conservation of momentum”
  • Momentum (p) = m * V
  • Momentum is constant in the absense of a net external force
  • Think no air bag!

Q

Newtons Second Law - Law of Acceleration

A
  • The change in motion is proportional to the force applied and is made in a straight line where that force is applied
  • Force = mass * acceleration
  • Acceleration and Force are directly proportional
  • Acceleration and mass are indirectly proportional
