Q

example of gentrified area- liverpool

A
  • a way of regenerating inner city estates without displacing low income families is where british cities sell run down housing at low prices.
  • in 2013 liverpool council sold 20 derelict homes in kensington for £1. to make this scheme there were basic rules:
  • they had to live in the property for 5 years and had to show they were capable of doing the house up to a reasonable standard.
  • the scheme has now been extended to other houses and shops to improve the built environment
