in 1992, the city created AEB a waste to energy enterprise- its an incineration plant capable of producing 1 million mega watts of electricity annually.

• also used to create heating for communities
• 64% of waste ends up being recycled
• it also helps co2 emissions reduce as the plant has several functions which involved 438 kilo tons of co2 avoided annually
