Q
Acid + metal carbonate =
A
- salt + water + carbon dioxide
4
Q
How to get a soluble salt?
A
- React an acid with an insoluble base
5
Q
Steps to forming crystals of soluble salt
A
- Heat dilute acid using bunsen burner (in beaker)
- Slowly add insoluble base until it stops reacting and is in excess
- Filter out excess
- Gently heat solution using water bath
- Filter solution
- Dry crystals
