  • Group B Strep, E. coli, listeria (neonates)
  • Neisseria Meningitis (children and teenagers, oropharynx–>blood)
  • strep pneumo (adults and elderly)
  • Hemophilus Influenzae (unvaccinated)
  • Fungal (immunocompromised)
  • Coksackie virus (fecal/oral)

  • Cerebellum tonsillar (respiratory arrest secondary to compression of brain stem)
  • Subfalcine herniation (stroke secondary to compression of ACA)
  • Uncal herniation (CN 3/6, PCA, duret hemorrhage)
