A

GLIOMA

Pilocytic: pediatric pop, benign, usually cerebellar

Low grade: malignant but good prog, no enhancement

Anaplastic: malignant, poorer prog

Glioblastoma multiforme: WORST prog, most common glioma, likes to cross corpus callosum

A

GLIOMA

originates in ventricles, hyrdrocephalus common

histo: perivascular pseudo rosettes/ependymal rosettes

glial tumor arising from oligodendrocytes

slow growing

good prognosis

“fried egg”

  • signs due to compression
  • can be removed
