Describe the relationship between epilepsy and psychiatric disorders

It is BIDIRECTIONAL
Epilepsy is associated with increased onset of psychiatric disorders and suicide both before and after epilepsy diagnosis
Patients with psychiatric disorders have higher rate of epilepsy (ie schizophrenia have 2-3x increased risk epilepsy)
