Neonatal death is the death of a live born baby in the first 28 days of life.
Early neonatal death is the death of a live born baby in the first 7 days of life.
Define stillbirth.
Stillbirth: Baby born dead after 24 weeks gestation.
Define miscarriage
Miscarriage: Baby born dead before 24 weeks of gestation

Age of viability is the first 24 weeks.
Neonatal period is the first 4 weeks of life.
Infancy is the first year of life.
When will the unborn child be called a fetus?

Define perinatal mortality
Perinatal mortality is the number of stillbirths and deaths in the 1st week of life (early neonatal death)/1000 births.
Define Nulliparous and Multiparous.
A nulliparous woman has never delivered live/potentially live babies.
A multiparous woman has delivered at least 1 live or potentially live (>24weeks) babies.
What is polyhydramnios? What is the opposite of polyhydramnios?
Polyhydramnios is a medical condition describing excess amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac.
Oligohydramnios is the opposite and it refers to a deficiency in amniotic fluid.
Define amniorrhexis.
Amniorrhexis is rupture of the amniotic sac membrane during pregnancy. It is colloquially known as “ water breaking”.
