What is a thyroglossal cyst
Can arise in any part of thyroglossal tract
Contains lymphatics
Moves with tongue
What is a dermoid cyst?
Rare congenital cyst
Soft and nonfluctuant
What is a branchial cyst?
Persisting second branchial arch
Feels like half filler hot water bottle
What is cystic hygroma?
Transilluminate lymph filled cyst that is usually present in 1t year of life.
Where are cystic hygroma usually found?
Posterior triangle
Where are dermoid cysts usually found?
Midline
Where are branchial cysts usually found?
Anterior triangle
