Digastric (posterior belly [VII]): Pulls hyoid up and back
Stylohyoid [VII]: Pulls hyoid back
Mylohyoid [V3]: Elevate hyoid
Geniohyoid [C1 branch via hypoglossal]: Pulls hyoid forward - when mandible fixed, Pulls mandible down - when hyoid fixed

Sternohyoid [C1-3, via ansa cervicalis]: Depress hyoid after swallowing
Omohyoid [C1-3, via ansa cervicalis]: Depresses and fixes hyoid
Thyrohyoid [C1, via hypoglossal]: Depresses and fixes hyoid raises larynx during
swallow.
