the Nazis shared the same prejudices as much of the German people:
- anti-Jew
- anti-Slav
- anti-Gyspie
- anti-Communist
- homophobic
this made it easier for the German people to stand by Nazi racial and cultural policies
why was the Nazi’s treatment of the ToV important in getting support?
the German people despised the ToV and hated the way Stresemann dealt with it by fraternising with the enemy
instead the Nazis had an aggressive anti-ToV agenda which suited the German peoples’ ambitions
how did the Nazis maintain support during the war?
the Fuhrer myth was vital in keeping Germans in check and making sure they had no doubts in German military strategy knowing that the Fuhrer was at the centre of it all
the war also accelerated the extermination of the Jews and Poles which was always seen as popular amongst the pure German people

the Nazis were very good at retaining their support throughout their reign
by brainwashing and indoctrinating its people they had made the use of allied propaganda useless as well as making anti-Nazi movements within Germany irrelevant
