NAVMED 6470/10 and NAVMED 6470/11 Flashcards
What are the authorized BUMED programs used to produce NAVMED 6470/10 and NAVMED 6470/11?
Automated Radiological Management Information System (ARCMIS)
Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP)
A back-up copy of the exposure information date base should be made and retained for how long?
- At least quarterly and retained for 2 quarters.
- If backup are more frequent, at least 2 backups should be retained.
What form served as the predecessor of the NAVMED 6470/10?
DD 1141
If there is pending or missing exposure, what are some steps an MDR can take to find it?
- Conduct an interview with the individual to find out why.
- Reach out to prior commands/employers.
- As a last resort, submit a formal request to NDC.
How do you review an NAVMED 6470/10?
Perform Receipt Audit of all pervious DD1141s and NAVMED/10’s verifying the Lifetime Total Effective Dose Equivalent (LTEDE) is correct and there is no missing or pending exposure from pervious commands. Once done, generate a new NAVMED 6470/10.
How do you prepare a new NAVMED 6470/10
- You place new personnel by inputting their personal data, occupational code, wether not to report their exposure, (visitors) LifeTime Total Effective Dose Equivalent (LTEDE), or indicate no pervious exposure.
- If LTEDE is not known, then “Unknown” will be indicated.
How do you transfer a NAVMED 6470/10
- All Exposures will be forwarded via dose transmittal letter that includes an accurate NAVMED 6470/10.
