What is the purpose of a annual NAVMED 6470/1?
Provide BUMED via NDC or processing facility a report of exposures for ALL personnel on board 31 December who were monitored for exposure to ionizing radiation during the year while assigned to your command.
When shall an annual NAVMED 6470/1 be submitted by?
1 April of each year.
If there are valid operational commitments that will prevent it the annual report being submitted by April 1st. What can be done?
The annual report can be submitted within 30 days of receipt of the final personnel exposure information.
What following events should be in the remarks section of an Annual NAVMED 6470/1?
- Dose Estimates
- Internal Contamination
- External Contamination
- Internal Monitoring results (CEDE)
- Extremity Exposure
(Only if they occur during the reporting period).
What is the retention period of an annual NAVMED 6470/1?
Indefinitely
What is the purpose of a Situational NAVMED 6470/1?
Provide BUMED via NDC exposure information for members of your command that have transferred, retired, or discharged from your command prior to 31 December who were monitored on pervious annual reports.
What report includes visitors whose commands do not report to NDC?
Situational Report NAVMED 6470/1
When will a situational NAVMED 6470/1 be submitted?
Within 30 days of detachment of the individual or within 30 days of receipt of the individual final exposure information. Which ever is later.
What is the retention time of a Situational NAVMED 6470/1?
Indefinitely.
What is the purpose of the Summary of Annual Exposure Report to NAVSEA (08)?
Provide exposure information for members on board 31 December who were monitored for exposure to ionization radiation during the year regardless of where it was received.
When does a Summary of Annual Exposure Report to NAVSEA (08) need to be submitted?
31 March of each year.
If a final summary report for NAVSEA 08 will not meet the 31 March timeline, what can be done?
A preliminary report using what results are available will be submitted.
If a preliminary report for NAVSEA is submitted, when is the final report due?
Within 30 days of receipt of the final exposure information.
What is the purpose of the Annual Report of Personnel Exposure to Ionization Radiation to the Individual?
Provide all monitored individuals currently on board a written report of their dose for the pervious calendar year.
