A
- Small frequent meals with emphasis on protein to maintain stable blood sugar
- Protein snack before bed
- Protein snack if awakened at night
- Alternate proteins and carbohydrates with fruits and vegetables
- Medications
- ReliefBand - now known as Telenex; only FDA approved intervention for nausea and vomiting for pregnancy, motion sickness, chemotherapy, post-operative recovery
- Ginger

Late Pregnancy - Cause
A
- Pressure of growing baby on stomach and intestines
- Fatigue and discomforts may prevent adequate intake of food and fluids
- Changes in hormones
- Increased needs of baby for weight gain in third trimester

Late Pregnancy - Interventions
A
- Continue to eat every 2 hours concentrating on proteins
- Do not drink fluids and eat solids at the same time
- Eat in cool areas
- Acupressure bands
- Increased relaxation and rest periods
