Verbal Communication
A systematized collection of conventionalized symbols that can be arranged meaningfully according to a particular grammar
Language
Have no meaning even when they are arranged to become words
Symbols
Can be anything that is a language, or a systematized and organized collection of symbols
Verbal messages
The exchange of messages through written form. It is the sharing of written symbols through the use of language. It is also the clear and coherent presentation of ideas
Written communication
The process of conveying message through nonlinguistic means or without language. It involves interpreting and giving meaning to nonverbal messages
Nonverbal communication
Can be anything that can be given meaning without using a language. It involves actions, appearances, sounds, smells, and anything that can be conceived and interpreted by the mind
