The initiator of the message that needs to be transmitted
Speaker/Sender
This is known as the heart of communication because it is the content the sender wants to convey to the receiver. This may be an information, thought, idea, facial expression, feeling, emotion, or any gesture
Message
The process of converting the message into words, actions, or other forms that the speaker understands
Encoding
This refers to the medium or mode used to transmit the message. It links the sender to the receiver
Channel
The recipient of the message, or someone who decodes the message
Receiver
The process of interpreting the encoded message of the speaker by the receiver
Decoding
This refers to the setting where communication takes place
Context
This is anything that prevents or hinders from receiving and understanding the message. It is a factor that affect the flow of communication
Barrier
The reactions, responses, or information provided by the receiver
