(They are/can be found within organisms that are closely related)

Structures that have very different anatomies, but similar functions
(They are/can be found within organisms that are not closely related, but live in similar environments and have similar adaptations)

A good example can be a bird and a bat
What are Vestigial Structures?
Structures that are anatomical remnants (being important to past ancestors), but are no longer used as much/in the same way
What is an example of instances of Vestigial Structures?
A few good examples are: Whale fin thumbs, Human wisdom teeth, Human tailbones, and many others!
