- infection, illness

- hypoxia (absence of 02 in tissues)
- hypothermia
- decreased LOC

- Decreased cardiac output
- Hypoentsion
- Bradycardia

-maintain patent airway
-monitor EKG
warm patient
-assiste w/ intubation and mechanical ventilation
