Lisfanc injury
Crush injury or fall from height, axial force through foot or twisting on plantar flexed foot
Damage to lisfranc ligament (connects 1st tarsal bone to 2nd metatarsal)
Displacement of metatarsals from tarsus
Plantar ecchymosis
Midfoot pain on compression of width of foot or piano key test (passive plantar and dorsiflexion at torso-metarasal joint)
Needs weight bearing XR
Always refer to ortho
Monteggia fracture-dislocation
Fracture of ulnar with concomitant radial head dislocation
FOOSH
Refer Ortho for ORIF
Line drawn down shaft of radius should meet the centre of the capitellum
Metatarsal stress fracture
Rest from inciting activity for 4-8 weeks
If pain on walking - offload (partial or NWB) for 2 weeks
