- Found in the walls of the heart
- Circulate blood through & out of the heart
- Not consciously controlled
- Does not fatigue
- Has a set rhythm of contraction

- Found in the walls of hollow organs
- Controls movement of food, urine & blood
- Unconsciously controlled
