The structure of a muscle
Think of a pack or sour straws
The whole pack is the muscle, the sour straws are the fascia, and the fascia are full of muscle fibers.
Fascia layers
Outer: epimysium
Middle: perimysium
Inner: endomysium
Think of EPI PEN. EP-PE-EN
Type 1 muscle fibers
Red, slow twitch, aerobic, hard to fatigue
Ex: walking, jogging
Type 2 muscle fibers
White, fast twitch, anaerobic, fatigue easily
Ex: mile run, swimming, short distance cycling
Local stabilization system
Attach directly to vertebrae; transverse abdominis, internal oblique, multifidus, pelvic floor, diaphragm
Basically.. core
