F: lift capsule out of joint to prevent entrapment of capsule

Popliteus
O: lateral condyle of femur, arcuate popliteal ligament and lateral meniscus
I: proximal to soleal line on tibia A: flexor and rotator @ knee UNLOCKS knee weight bearing: rotates thigh laterally nonweight bearing: rotates leg medially
Psoas major O/I/A/ nerve
O: transverse processes of all lumbar vertebrae
I: apex of lesser trochanter
A: flex @ hip and flex lumbar spine

Iliacus:
O: iliac fossa, iliac crest, ASIS, AIIS, superolateral portion of sacrum

A: flexion @ hip

Gluteus maximus OIA/N
O: posterior gluteal line of ilium, posterior surface of sacrum and coccyx
I: superficial fibers–>IT BAND, deep fibers: gluteal tuberosity
A: extends, laterally rotate and ABduct thigh @ hip
N: inferior gluteal N
gluteus medius
O: between posterior and anterior gluteal line
I: oblique bony ridge on greater trochanter
A:laterally and medially rotates extended hip, ABduct thigh
muscle stabilize pelvis during locomotion
