Flexor Carpi Radialis
O : Medial epicondyle of the humerus via the common flexor tendon
I : Bases of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals
A :
1. Flex the hand at the wrist joint
2. Radially deviate the hand at the wrist joint
Palmaris Longus
O : Medial epicondyle of the humerus via the common flexor tendon
I : Flexor retinaculum and palmar aponeurosis
A : Flex the hand at the wrist joint
Flexor Carpi Ulnaris
O : Medial epicondyle of the humerus via the common flexor tendon
I : Anterior, ulnar side of the pisiform, hook of hamate and base of the 5th metacarpal
A :
1. Flex the hand at the wrist joint
2. Ulnar deviates the hand at the wrist joint
Flexor Digitorum Superficialis
O (Humeroulnar Head) : Medial epicondyle of the humerus via the common flexor tendon and coronoid process of the ulna
O (Radial Head) : Proximal 1/2 of the anterior shaft of the radius
I : Anterior surface of the middle phalanges of 2nd-5th digits
A :
1. Flex the 2nd-5th digits at MCP and PIP
2. Flex the hand at the wrist joint
Flexor Digitorum Profundus
O : Proximal 1/2 of medial and anterior ulna and interosseous membrane
I : Anterior surface of distal phalanges 2-5
A :
1. Flex 2nd-5th digits at MCP, PIP and DIP
2. Flexes the hand at the wrist joint
Flexor Pollicis Longus
O : Anterior surface of radius, interosseous membrane, the medial epicondyle of the humerus, and the coronoid process of the ulna
I : Anterior aspect of the base of the distal phalanx of the thumb
A :
1. Flex the thumb at the CMC, MCP and IP joints
2. Flexes the hand at the wrist joint
