O : Posterior surface of both manubrium and medial clavicle
I : Inferior surface of the body of the hyoid

1. Depress the hyoid
2. Flexes the head and neck at the spinal joints
Sternothyroid
O : Posterior surface of the manubrium and the cartilage of the 1st rib
I : Lamina of the thyroid cartilage
A :
1. Depresses the thyroid cartilage
2. Flexes the head and neck at the spinal joints
Thyrohyoid
O : Lamina of the thyroid cartilage
I : Inferior surface of the greater cornu of the hyoid
A :
1. Depress the hyoid
2. Flexes the head and neck at the spinal joints
Omohyoid
O (Inferior Belly) : Superior border of the scapula to the central tendon bound to the clavicle
O (Superior Belly) : Central tendon at clavicle to inferior surface of the body of the hyoid

1. Depress the hyoid bone
