A

5 FUNCTIONS:
-They protect our organs

Q

Ligaments:

A

They connect bone to bone. Ligaments are elsastic and stretchy to allow the joints to move when they need to, but meanwhile to keep them aligned.

Q

Synovial fluid:

A

Fills the space between the ends of bones in a joint and makes movement very smooth and free of friction. Synovial fluid also acts like a shock absorber which is very useful when we excersize.

Q

What is an antagonistic pair?

A

Muscles can only pull and can’t push. This means two muscles have to work together at a joint. This is called an Antagonistic pair.

Q

Some problems that can occur in joints:

A

Athritis- when the cartlidge is damadged and the bones grind bone to bone, damaging them.

White blood cells:

A

Help fight deseases.
