Skeletal muscle
A
Voluntary muscles, have obvious striations. Pull on the bones & skin when contracting, resulting in body movement.

Cardiac muscle
A
Involuntary muscle, has striations & is found only in the heart.

Smooth muscle
A
Involuntary, no visible striations & are found in the walls of hollow organs. Ex. Stomach & bladder.

What are the 2 major steps in tissue repair?
A
- Regeneration - replacement of tissue by same type of cells.
- Fibrosis - formation of scar tissue.
