What is the Plantaris?
Long narrow muscle in the calf that works with the achilles in flexing the knee and plantar flexion of the ankle.
What are the Vasus lateralis, intermedius, and medialis?
Muscles located in the thigh, part of the quadriceps muscle group.
What is the Semimembranosus?
Long muscle in the thigh, one of the hamstrings.
What is the Tensor Fasciae Latae?
Muscle in the thigh, helps stabilize hip and knee.
What is the transverse abdominus?
The deepest muscle of the abs. Compresses the abdomen. Used in prone plank, abdominal bracing.
What is the rectus abdominus?
An ab muscle, the “6 pack”. Flexion and lateral flexion of the trunk.
What is the Erector spinae?
Muscles that straighten and rotate the back.
What is the Latissimus dorsi?
Large muscle in the back that helps control shoulder movement.
What is the Palmaris longus?
A flexor muscle of the forearm.
