A

Anjali = Offering to god
Connects us to the divine through our heart chakra and the universal heart chakra

Also used as a greeting and expressinng gratitude

Chin Mudra

A

chin=wisdom
Create an energy circle
helps open the lower lobes of the lung.
Naturally encourages belly breathing which supports the relaxation response of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Firt finger and thumb of eah hand gently touch
Other fingers are together either relaced or outstretched
Palm upwards

What is a Mudra?

A

Seal gesture or symbol of the hands body or face.
To expand the breath consciousness or energy system of the user
commonly used in yoga or meditation to channel higher energies. and often paired with pranayama, asanas and mantras.
Mudras activate and awaken our physsical bodies for healing.
Also activate and awaken the subtle energies

A

Chin mudra - lower lobes of the lungs
Chinmaya Mudra - middle part of lungs in lower rib area
Brahma Mudra - upper lobes of the lungs. (used n asthma clinics)

A

Vishnu = the divine protective and preserving energy.
Used in Nadi Suddhim (alternate nostril breathing.

First two fingers of right hand tuck behind lines at base of thumb
Let ring and little finger be togther and straight

Padma Mudra

A

Lotus - symbol of enlightenment

Supports the cardio, respiratory and immune system
Cultivate a sense of gratitude and awareness in heart centre which helps u sto become more receptive and open to receive blessings.

Bring hands together in prayer position
Keeping heel of hands together and thumb and little finger together allow middle fingers to open.
Place hands in front of your heart

A

Privthi = the earth
This mudra is grounding
Releases emotional stress.
Reduce stress
Lower blood pressure
Strengthens downward flow of energy
Support posture and centering of thoughts.

Both palms upward
tips of thumb and middle finger touch
All other fingers extent straight out,
Relax back of hands on thighs or in lap
