- function: helps regulate the body temperature,
protection, water volume control, eliminates some
waste products, Vit D production, and sensation.

- function: movement, postures & heat production

- composed of the skeletal, smooth, cardiac muscles
- function: regulates body activity

- works slower than the nervous system, but very
