  1. Intrinsic- internal desire do to something for joy/satisfaction
  2. Extrinsic- motivation scourced in external outcome or reward

  1. autonomy- feeling in control of ones choices (choices)
  2. competence- feel mastery/confident in ability (ques/demonstrations)
  3. relatedness-sense of belonging in social aspects (ice breakers)

Amotivation

A

no drive or intention to engage in the new behaviour
-often had bad experience in past
-forced to change behaviour by others, not self will

External regulation

A

External
motivated by external forces, sees no personal value in the behaviour, does it for reward or to avoid punishment

somewhat external
no longer needs rewards from external scources
-does behaviour to avoid feeling of guilt
