• Renal impairment/failure
• Late seconds stage labour

• Respiratory tract burns
• Known addiction to opioids
• Acute alcoholism
• Pts on monamine oxidase inhibitors (depression)

• Drowsiness
• Respiratory depression

• Nausea/vomiting

• Pin point pupils
• Hypotension

What are the dosages of Morphine?

• 5mg at 5min intervals. Consult after 20mg IV
• 10mg (repeat 5mg once after 15min) IM
• E/F/<60kg 0.1mg/kg IM

• Dilute Morphine 10mg/1mL to 10mL with 9mL NS
