What was the cause of the rebellion?

A

the poor government on the island & the blacks lacked representation in the government. A few whites controlled the government of Jamaica, black Jamaicans had no voice in government. A government must have the ability to care for the governed masses through institutions such as healthcare and to manage the economy in a responsible manner that benefits not only the upper classes, but the entire populace. This was not the case in Jamaica at the time
