- it is a group of words that contains a subject, a verb, and a predicate and always starts with a capital letter and ends with an punctuation mark.
what are the four (4) kinds of sentences ACCORDING TO FUNCTION?
- DECLARATIVE
- IMPERATIVE
- INTERROGATIVE
- EXCLAMATORY
this type makes a STATEMENT and ends with a PERIOD
- declarative sentence
this type is used to provide INFORMATION about something or STATE A FACT

- even if, even though, if, if only, rather than, since
- that, though, unless, until, when, where
- whereas, wherever, whether, which, while
it is made up of a COMPOUND sentence and a COMPLEX sentence
