what is glucose?

A

Glucose is a form of carbohydrate that is the body main, and most easily processed form of energy. It gets broken down to mono, di, and poly-saccharides which are types of sugars.

What are free sugars?

A

Concentrated and refined forms of sugars, such as high fructose corn syrup, that come without their completing nutrients, and are added by manufactures, cook, or consumer. Completing nutrients such as plant fibers, and fully unrefined carbs.

What is the recommended amount of sugar for an average adult(based on W.H.O standards, and daily caloric values)

A

5% of daily caloric values. 25 grams or 6 teaspoons of sugar.
