module 2 - bones Flashcards

1
Q

scapula

A

Flat, triangular, Attachment site for many muscles.
Acromion: articulates with clavicle (top part on front view)
Glenoid cavity/fossa: (Lateral) connects with Humours

Q

pelvic bone

A

Ilium posterior, ischium inferior and pubis anterior.
Acetabulum – Lateral, femur (hip joint)
Attachments gluteal (posterior), iliopsoas (anterior), and hamstrings (inferior).
Pubic synthesis fuses the two pelvic bones together.

Q

patella

A

Anterior, sesamoid bone
Proximal: Quadriceps tendon
